THE Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) has developed a steering committee to help shape its future direction.
An official meeting was held in Melbourne last week to examine the structure of the GRDC in a bid to fine tune its offering to growers.
According to WA Grains Group chairman Doug Clarke the meeting was a long time coming, but the formation of the steering committee was a great start to the next phase of the organisation.
He said the committee was made up of about eight representatives from the Australian grains industry.
Heading the committee is WA grower Terry Enright, who has a long history both in the ranks at GRDC and farming in his hometown of Mt Barker.
